Mismo Gymnastics currently has the largest competitive girls gymnastics team in the state of Montana. With the best coaching staff in the Northwest, Mismo has won the State Meet for the last 8 years. Women's gymnastics is a great balance between strength and grace, which makes it such a popular sport, especially during the Summer Olympics. Mismo's Girls Team based on USAG leveling. Here at Mismo, we offer competitive levels 1 through 10. Compulsory levels 1 to 6 have set routines that are competed throughout the United States. Optional levels 7 to 10 can create their own routines based upon they skill abilities. Competitive gymnastics is very unique as it offers both the benifits of an individual sport as well as the benifits of a team sport. During a competition, a gymnast will compete on all four events (floor, bars, beam, and vault) and contend for an all around placing as well. As part of a team, that same gymnast's scores will help out her fellow teammates to place as a team for Mismo. Mismo also offers a great program, that is growing in Montana, called Prep Opt. This class allows for girls to do competitive gymnastics at a less intense level. Prep Opt athletes get to create their own routines and compete them, but at fewer meets than the Competitive Level gymnast. Mismo Gymnastics competes at the state and regional level, as well has have athletes compete at the national level.
Gymnastics is a great balance between an individual and team sport. Mismo offers the largest men's competitive team in Western Montana. Competitive mens gymnastics offers all the same great benifits as regular gymnastics except they get to compete against other gyms in Montana, the Northwest, and even Nationally. Men's gymnastics is based on USAG leveling. Beginning levels start off at Level 4 and go Level 10. Lower levels (4-7) are compulsories, which means they have set routines they compete. Levels 8 and up are optional levels, which means they get to perform skills they want or have. Mismo currently has both a compulsory team and an optional team. You must be over the age of 6 to participate in this group.
